Don’t drive closed roads. It’s a plague down here in N FL Blackwater has too many roads. I wish they would put some gates up, especially during turkey season. Make folks walk.

Don't keep blowing your owl call when the turkey is already gobbling every 20 seconds.

I like when they do that Mr Steve. I’m usually already near the bird anyway. It allows me to slip in tight. I killed one once as soon as his feet hit the ground. Ole boy came over cussing me, saying I walked in on him and bushwhacked that bird. I told him I was sitting next to the bird while he was still eating breakfast 😀

I haven't experienced many bad things on public land in Tennessee but I hunt weekdays and leave the weekends alone. ^^^ this

All they have ever done for me is to shut up a good gobbling turkey by continuing to blow the call. I've heard them do it with a crow call too. Don't they understand that these are just locator calls and the turkey is not gonna come to them? I guess they can't get a turkey to answer a turkey call, so they are just thrilled to do something to make a turkey gobble. Oh well.

If someone is in "your" spot go find another one. All the public spots I hunt are in the tens of thousands of acres, no reason to be parking 200 yards away from me. Even parking a good distance away at another gate that leads to the same area/ridge system/drainage is a stupid idea but people do it anyway Yes this is probably number one thing that's keeps everyone safe and happy.get there early or go somewhere else.no since in screwing up someone's hunt

It was a cluster in the forest in perry County. I would sit there and laugh at the stupidity. At another place I actually left the woods to go find a guy, wanted grap his owl hooter and break it. Then tell him to learn how to use it, when he got a new one.
if i hadnt taken up hunting i might have became a juvenile delinquent or worst taken up GOLF

Would like to hear from other public land hunters what bothers them, in case I'm unknowingly doing something. I'll start things off with one that may piss some people off.
Don't cut and mark trails. I've had a few honey holes get ruined from this. If you can't navigate off trail, you shouldn't be out there. You touched on mine. People on quota hunts around here have gotten out of hand with the ribbons. I'm like you and rarely mark anything, and if I do, it's something only I will notice. These idiots will put up ribbons on every place where you can possibly pull off the road, then pitch a fit if you hunt any where near where their ribbons are. I get in early and go where I want and they can piss off. On some hunts, there is literally no where you can go where there aren't ribbons. Some even put up archery or ML hunt ribbons trying to keep folks out for their gun hunts. Ridiculous
May the sound of hounds never die!

I only hunt public land in Mississippi and unfortunately some "hunters" and I'm using that term loosely have little to no respect, courtesy or etiquette. There isn't much I haven't seen at 1 point or another.
In your darkest hour when the demons come, call on me brother and we'll fight them together.

I like to let nature wake them up - I May crow to make sure he turned to me if crows not available and I don’t bump him off - if he facing away he sound twice as far - but I like to let nature wake them up - I got a neighbor that blow and blow and blow crow call in Sweetwater He must be stalking them - sounds ignorant - ain’t heard him this year - ain’t heard much over there
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

I honestly didn’t think those 2 words could be used in the same sentence.
