Deet always works for me. I rub it on before hitting the woods and they stay off of me. I usually buy mine at Wal-Mart and it runs about four bucks a bottle. One bottle usually lasts a year for me also. The trade name is Repel and it is 20% deet. X2... use the deet products and spray liberally. If you do get bit, use Fresh Mint Listerine... it kills the itch. Just don't scratch first Works regardless of when you scratch. But if u scratch first I bet it burns like the devil!
