I use existing references, such as the ears, circumference of the eyes, and eye to nose measurements to base my rack measurements on. There is some variation but eye circumference is about 4" on most whitetails. Ears are roughly 6-7" from tip to base, and nose to eye is about 7". I usually get pretty close that way. Then again, occasionally I am off a good bit.

I'll have to rememebr those numbers, would make it easier to field judge a deer in the field, trailcam, or even a pic of one on the wall. Thanks for the info.

111 for top and 114 for bottom with about 3% for velvet.

No kidding though good job.
