I made sure to get to the polls solely to vote against her.

She was not my choice, but will be better than a Dem. I know several people that voted for her, my dad for one. We talked about it a good bit this past Saturday and he kinda agreed with my thoughts about her being for the gas tax so what's to stop her from voting in more taxes, and my concerns that she likely has been bought and paid for and will vote on some type of new gun laws.

But at the end of the talk he said he was still going to vote for her, couldn't give me a reason why. He retired from ALFA nearly 20 years ago and I think just can't vote against their recommendations.

The main thing is she beats the dem candidate. I don't really know much about her except the ads and what I read here but she's got to be better than any dem.

I figured you voted in the democrat primary.

I thought Trump ended up supporting Britt? If you intended to vote for the "non-Trump" candidate and voted for her, sounds like you voted wrong...

Younger female lawyer with tons of Alabama connections, well spoken, married to a former Bama footballer, and endorsed by Trump… or a grumpy old white dude(insert Aldeer jokes here). Yall are crazy to think there would be a different outcome. I think she will fight for your state just fine, but only time will tell.

At this point, I think I’ll vote for the D opponent. I’ve never voted for a single D candidate but I’d rather put up with one for 6 years than her for 30-40 years. I think Alabama will actually be better off that way.

The only reason Trump changed endorsements was because Britt was beating Maga Mo in the polls. If Mo had remained the favorite, Trump would have stuck around. Without Trump's endorsement, Britt would have still won. It's why Kay Ivey was reelected with more than 50% of the vote. It's why Dale Strong was able to beat Casey Wardynski. Casey touted his serving in the Army under the Trump administration. The face of Alabama politics is changing. It is becoming harder to win a state wide office without the urban/suburban vote. Keep spouting off about stolen elections and other nonsense and you stand a good chance of losing. Just ask Tim James and Lindy Blanchard. The loss of Roy Moore to Doug Jones should have been your first clue.
