There are legal ways to prevent pregnancy after rape. If someone gets raped, I would think that at the hospital visit they would make sure that a viable pregnancy doesn't happen. Waiting weeks, months just makes no sense. Wouldn't that still be aborting the life after conception? No. That is not how it works. The Plan B stops the egg from becoming fertilized or implanting. If the egg has already implanted, it will do nothing. Implantation and fertilization are different things. If life starts at conception and conception is when sperm meets egg then plan b is abortion.

What about the geriatric crowd? When we grow old, stop communicating, dribbling, totally dependent on someone to feed us, wipe our butts, cannot do anything for ourselves and become totally inconvenient to someone. Should we allow to euthanize the old geezers just because they cant fend for themselves and become a burden? Isnt this the same as abortion except at the opposite end of the age spectrum?

That's an excellent point and 100% valid. It was also debated nationally and for some reason, fell out of the spotlight. We come into this world with no bowel control and playing with toys, and often leave it the same way.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Core values should define and drive decisions even in horrible circumstances. Horrible circumstances should never define or drive core values. Very well said

I have taken the position of... it's not my place to comment or spew my beliefs on this issue. It's 100% a women's issue. If it comes up for vote, I would be in favor of only women getting to vote. That will never happen but if they voted for or against I would accept their decision. thats your belief, your a womens liber, but what if the babies a boy.

What if the father wants an abortion but the mother says no. Is that still the woman’s choice? Is he still obligated to the baby?
