The best is when they ask if you have the serial number and you tell them it doesn’t have one. Had an early 60s shotgun stolen and when he asked for the serial number and I told him that, he looked at me strange and said so the serial number has been removed or altered? Had to explain to him that they weren’t required prior to 1968. Still not sure he believed me about that. Yep...I'm still lookig for a Stevens 311 410 with my grandfathers DL number on the receiver since it had no serial number. Doubt I'll ever see it again though. I did find one just like it on gunbroker listed by a pawnshop in Gadsden. I made a special trip to put my hands on it. Also have a P220 Sig .45ACP in the system. I'd like to have it back too I have a marlin .22 that was left to me by my grandfather and his DL# is etched into the receiver. Always thought that was so cool and adds even more sentimental value
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Wouldn’t hurt to call in to that agency and have them do a supplement report to attach your name and current address to those items. I would explain that situation. Also, you could go ahead and speak with whomever if there was ever any updates to that case. This is your answer.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

These 6 were stolen in 2002. Got 1 back in 2011. I hold out hope. My best friend still lives in that county in SC and he knows EVERYONE. He hooked me up with an investigator with the sheriff's dept and got all of the info changed over to me. Crossing my fingers some show up!

We had 13 guns stolen in FL in 1998. Got one back in 2001. A Winchester 9422 Magnum. They found it in a migrant workers camp in Pennsylvania. Looked new when it left and like it had been drug down the road when I got it back. I bet Gundoc could make it look new. I loved that lever he posted here a few days ago. Work of art. I imagine he could. One side is pitted pretty good like it was laying on a wet carpet or something. The stock is cracked also. Right after I got it back, I fixed the cracked stock and had the metal parkerized. It's fairly impervious to weather now and it spends a lot of time riding in the gun rack in the buggy.
May the sound of hounds never die!
