Don’t give up, I had a rifle stolen and it was recovered 19yrs later. Still in the gun case and the box of ammo with it. Don’t think it was ever fired once it was stolen. Key to recovery is being able to produce serial numbers when stolen. My truck has been broken into 2 times and 2 pistols stolen. I doubt they will ever surface. Had a neighbor that got a call from NYC police. They asked him if he made a police report on such and such gun getting stolen from his house. He confirmed and they told him they had his pistol. It was recovered after it was used in a robbery. I forgot how many years later it was after it was stolen but he got it back. Never give up I guess...........................
