I’ve been shooting a Mathew’s Outback for years. Went to get it restrung today and started looking.

So, is the bang worth the buck - really? My guess is yes but I haven’t kept up with all the changes over the years

What’s the real advantages of the new models vs my older model? Man they have sure gone up in price

Thanks

Guess depends on what you want out of a bow for the most part.
New bows are more efficient to a point. Some are smother less hand shock list goes on and one. If you got it and wanna spend it have it. Will a new bow kill a deer more dead than what you have? No it won't. One thing to keep in mind is as a bow gets older limbs deteriorate, bearings go bad, if you have a failure parts may not be readily found. According to Matthews that is not the case with there bows. If you like what you got I see no reason to change unless you find something else that feels better

Well I looked too long.

Went home with a V3X. Definitely quieter.

😆 Congrats. One good thing about Mathews, you can get parts from them for every single model bow they’ve ever produced. No other bow company offers that.

Still shooting a 2011 Hoyt AlphaMax 32. Other than having strings put on it I’ve done nothing but wax the string and store it inside. Still doing what a bow should do for me. Killing.

The new ones are very nice but I’m content with what I’ve got.

Enjoy that new one. I’ve heard great things about them.

Same here. I shoot a Hoyt Katera and it does everything I want. Older but just fine.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I'm still shooting a 1997 Bear Grizzly Supreme. I either need to spend a couple hundred on it or get a new bow. I think Im going new. Also Im getting too old to pull 82 pounds and I dont think the technology of that bow allows me to back it off much.
