The horse with a rack standing broadside on the right is the biggest 6pt I believe I’ve ever seen. He was never killed. My buddy took this pic and a short video of him fighting the 3yo 8pt standing beside him from his stand one evening. He never got a shot at either. The buck on the left is an 8yo 9pt. I had an encounter with him several weeks prior and took a 33 yard shot at him. Unfortunately my shot was high and skimmed him across his back at the shoulders. He was never taken as well. Between the heat being back and the LARGE volume of mosquitos that tore me up, you couldn’t pay me to try to hunt this time of the year. I did it when I was younger but I was “bulletproof” back then. Or just plain dumb. I’ll wait and bow hunt in Alabama or I’ll hunt here if we get a sure nuff front come through. It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.
