Anyone mind telling me about your deer hunting experience at Crow Creek? Are there a lot of deer? Is it known for having big bucks? What's the terrain like? I've seen some stuff about the duck hunting there but nothing about the deer.

I think The Southern Outdoorsmen on youtube filmed a hunt there a few years back. Might want to check that video out.

I hunted there the first year they opened it for deer and it was a zoo. My brother and I saw over 90 deer in six sits. Not sure what section you'll be hunting, but stay near the transitions and edges. There is a lot of thickets and the deer piled in and out of them. If you find a decent 8 or 9 point dead head shoot me a PM lol. I shouldered a nice buck the last morning we were there, decent blood but it dried up and we lost the trail.

I hunted it in 2020, there were dogs running around on the property the whole time and we literally never saw a deer. We sat all day, and left midday for about 1-2 hours. Otherwise in the woods the rest of the time. I’ve heard from others that have seen lots of deer in there, maybe we just had bad luck with the dogs on our weekend. Hoping your experience is a lot better. I have sone intel that I got from someone for my hunt, I’ll dig it up and send it along to you.

Other things,

We stayed at the best western in kimball TN, it was good accommodations for a good price, there are restaurants/stores all around the hotel and it was only about a 20-25 min drive to to SOA in the morning. Stevenson has some fast food places good for lunch, and there’s a Mexican restaurant and a pizza place that we’re both pretty good.

Hunted it Halloween weekend last year. Saw some deer walking out our first night but nothing else the rest of the hunt. We were in Unit 1. I didn't see anything that made me think there were large numbers of deer in there.

That whole area up there has fell smoothe off the map..too many people run there mouth about stuff..i dont even go up there anymore hardly…to many dang people

Yeah the “mud creek” hunt use to be awesome. Now there is way to many people
