Just curious......Do the Jersey cows produce better milk for the wagyu calves or is this just for giving them some "extra"??

Never understood the “Waygu” trend. It takes around 30 plus months old to get that nice marble finish on them I think. Or that’s what I read/been told. You can about feed any calf out till it’s 30 plus months old and get a great finish on it. Just my opinion
Now to your question, FB farm auction usually has some pretty regular. Or call up your local stockyard and let them know what your looking for.
A friend, the Bible and a banker will get you though about anything.

Yeah I’m sure people pay $100/ounce for no reason I’ve never had any, so I can’t comment other than being sarcastic Alot of stuff costs a lot more money because of advertising. I’ve tried it and it was good, but didn’t seem to be any better than the beef I’ve raised my whole life. Angus, charolais, and about any other beef breed is great meat when fed out right to me. Matter of fact the best I ever raised was a Jersey/limousine cross steer calf that was 1536lbs when he was earholed. I ear holed him when he was eating feed, knocked the guts out of him on the farm. Took FEL and hauled him to the Processer in Tallapoosa, Ga. Stress plays a big part of meat quality imo. Just like it does on anything else in farming. Not to derail the OP post. All I’m gonna say about it lol

You might try to reach out to Blue Ribbon Dairy - Eclectic, AL.
I don't know if they sell their cows or not (I kinda doubt it, but worth a shot), but they have the best dairy products that I have ever tasted.

I sell/eat just as much upper 2/3 choice angus as anything else. I hauled to Dothan last weekend and didn’t really see anything I wanted there, I ended up finding a couple in FL they sold off the production line.

Kinda want to cross some out on these angus I have but, dang it cost so much I sell more F2 wagyu/angus than anything. I like their steaks better than full blood
