Bow season in Zone A starts this Saturday. However, the forecast is for 82 on Saturday and 75 on Sunday. What do you consider to warm to hunt?

I'll hunt Sunday because of a schedule conflict on Saturday. How do you think warm temperatures impact hunting? It seems to me that deer move less when it is warm.

It's Alabama. If you don't hunt when it's hot, you won't hunt 80% of the year, LOL. Heck, I remember hunting a few Christmas day hunts in t-shirts & sweating our tails off.

I think warm days like this weekend will just keep them in the cooler shady bottoms more than in the sun.

How much would you move if it was 80 degrees and someone was making you walk around in a fur coat? JK but that analogy is somewhat true. They will definitely move more in cooler weather but acorns are falling and deer need to feed every 4-6 hours to keep the bacteria in their rumen alive and healthy. If you're in a good spot, you'll probably still see deer. Just remember to bring a thermacell.

Early on, these deer seem to move just fine in the warmer temps…I love that first couple drops though where it goes from 80-70s or 60s…

I think the heat bothers humans a lot more than it does deer. I would prefer it to be below 80 degrees. I'll be in the woods next weekend no matter what.

I've seen deer eating persimmions at 2 pm with a 102 heat index. I see them out the kitchen window.

Ive killed a couple when it was over 100 degrees. But, I dont like hunting when it is above 60 and rarely go when it is.

Deer don't care. Go hunt. The temperatures only affect us more than them, for the most part.

Can't kill 'em on the couch watching UT beat Bama.

I may go in the morning but too hot for me in the afternoon. Even then, I”ll bring the thermacell. Unless I’m out of state, I don’t hunt if it’s 80 degrees or above. The season is too long in Alabama. Plus, it’s buck only for the first 10 days and we have strict buck standards, might consider it I could smack a doe.

I’ll go opening week just hoping to catch the summer pattern but usually like clockwork they know a day beforehand…I did catch a glimpse of 2 studs middle of the day few years ago on opening day, outside that I don’t like hot weather hunting but gotta go when I get the chance…

I started a thread a few weeks ago saying I wouldn't hunt if it's over 85. My concern isn't discomfort or not seeing deer, it's the meat rotting if I have a long tracking job.

Weather forecast is saying 86 on opening day. I'm about to break my rule, because I'm an addict. I will be very picky with my shots in that heat.

I’m bow hunting right now and it’s 81. Shade helps.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
