Will the public support and outcry on behalf of Chick-fil-A carry over to other parts of life that are also important? Will we believers in this nation rise up and stand firm on other issues? Will we take it to the streets and spend our money in support of a worthy cause? Will we speak out with our retraction of patronage and money to establishments that support and promote anti-biblical agendas? Time will tell.
Excellent post!!!!! Amen!!

John Sexton President, New York University john.sexton@nyu.edu http://www.nyu.edu/about/leadership-univ...ohn-sexton.htmlChristie Quinn New York Council Speaker http://council.nyc.gov/d3/html/members/home.shtml"Contact Speaker Quinn" link -or- http://www.facebook.com/christinecquinnhttp://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/08/01/nyc...vict-chick-fil/A powerful New York politician claims she was just speaking as a private citizen when she tried to run Chick-fil-A out of town, but she used her official letterhead and even invoked her position as City Council speaker to apply pressure on the embattled chicken chain. New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who has mayoral aspirations, sent a letter to New York University president John Sexton on Saturday asking the school to immediately end their contract with the fast food restaurant. The Atlanta-based company's sole New York City outlet is in the school's food court. "I write as the Speaker of the NYC Council, and on behalf of my family. NYC is a place where we celebrate diversity. We do not believe in denigrating others. We revel in the diversity of all our citizens and their families,” the letter begins. "Let me be clear; I do not want establishments in my city that hold such discriminatory views," Quinn, an open lesbian who recently married her longtime partner, also wrote in the letter. "We are a city that believes our diversity is our greatest strength and we will fight anything and anyone that runs counter to that."

Great example of hypocrisy on the left and their double-speak there Andy!
"Celebrate Diversity": What is more diverse than having a pro-traditional family in a radical left city like NY? By diverse, then only mean diversity that they agree with.
Denigration: It isn't right to speak one's mind when it is against gay marriage or gay rights, but it is ok to vilify Christian and Biblical minded people. That isn't denigration, it is simply calling out the "oppressors". Pure double speak.

Philippians 1: 27-28 27 Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not frightened in anything by your opponents.
I kind of smiled and said AMEN when I came over the hill and saw the crowd at Chick-Fil-A. I have no doubt in my mind that Jesus has one huge smile on His face today! If there was ever hope for our country, today is good as good as starting point as any.. I just TRIED to get to the Chick-fil-a on Dauphin St. in Mobile.I have never seen so many cars and people trying to get to a place to eat.I smiled when I got off of I-65,the traffic is so bad it will be backing up onto I-65 if things don't change.First time I can ever remember being in a traffic jam and smiling about it.I will try again this evening after work, and again on Friday.
Be safe & have fun

At the Chick-fil-A in Guntersville the cars wanting in are backed up on the side of 431 either past or thru the Staples parking lot. Probably 100+/- cars. Parking lot is full and people lined up out the door into the parking lot.
Christians, capitalism and true Americans working hand in hand against liberals and socialism.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

My wife just called from Florence and said we would have to get ours tomorrow. Said there is no way she is going to wait that long in line. Just think how long all the lines would be if the people like her who left would have stayed and backed up traffic. She said a message has been sent.

Looks like they will have a record day ! I hope they make a weeks profit in a single day. I wish we could find out if the crowds are Nation wide.Found this checking other websites. It is the same all over the Country,Christian Americans are showing their support ! Thousands of people have been flocking to Chick-fil-A restaurants around the region to support the conservative marriage views of the chain's president. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister, declared Wednesday national "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day." At the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Trexlertown, Lehigh Co., a line of customers stretched out the door and around the building. The cars in line for drive-up service at the Chick-fil-A in Spring Twp., Berks Co., stretched through the parking lot of the Broadcasting Square shopping center. The show of support follows comments made last month by Dan Cathy, Chick-fil-A's president. He told the Baptist Press that the Atlanta-based company was "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family." Cathy's comments unleashed a torrent of criticism from gay rights groups and others, who have called for boycotts and efforts to block the chain from opening new stores. A group opposed to Chick-fil-A's position on gay marriage gathered outside the restaurant in Exeter Twp., Berks Co., as customers arrived to show their support for the company. Opponents of the company's stance are also planning "Kiss Mor Chiks" for Friday, when they are encouraging people of the same sex to show up at Chick-fil-A stores around the country and kiss each other http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/.../#ixzz22Jysiv7Tused to be that taking a bite of a chicken sandwich just meant you were hungry. Now it has become a symbol of whether you stand for or against same-sex marriage, or – alternately – the right to express your personal views without fear of retaliation. At Chick-fil-A locations across the country, people voted with their wallets today, coming out to express support for the fast-food chain after CEO Dan Cathy said in an interview that he is a firm backer of traditional marriage. “I believe what the Bible says (about marriage),” Chauncy Fields told us after wolfing down a breakfast of chicken and biscuits. “So I came out here to support Chick-fil-A and the movement.” Chris Johnson sees a double standard. “He (Dan Cathy) said the exact same thing that President Obama said,” Johnson told Fox News -- referring to the president’s past opposition to gay marriage – “And he gets negativity, and Obama gets positivity.” At one Atlanta location, the restaurant was packed, while the line for the drive-thru looped twice around the building and out into the street. The backlash across the country against Chick-fil-A has been ferocious. After the mayors of Chicago and Boston heaped scorn upon the company, the mayor of Washington, DC, suggested it was peddling “hate chicken.” Those comments drew a sharp response from Rev. William Owens of the Coalition of African American Pastors. “Some people are saying that because of the position that Chick-fil-A is taking, they don’t want them in their cities. It is a disgrace. It is the same thing that happened when I was marching for civil rights, when they didn’t want a black to come into their restaurant," he told a press conference in Washington, DC. The Chick-fil-A firestorm has taken on different meanings for different people. For some, it harks to the days of intolerance and segregation. For others, it is about religious views of marriage. But for most people who Fox News spoke to today, it is about free speech. “I think it comes down to a First Amendment issue. I mean, I do believe in the traditional values of marriage between a man and a woman,” youth pastor Stephen Lenahan told Fox News after a leisurely breakfast with three members of his ministry. He is also puzzled as to why Dan Cathy is such a target, when other corporate CEOs who openly support same-sex marriage are not similarly criticized by conservatives. Lenahan says he sees a bigger issue at work here. “There is kind of a culture war going on and people aren’t really respecting each other and difference of opinion. There’s no dialogue taking place to get to the heart of what we really believe as a nation and what is truth.” Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day – as it is being called was the idea of former Arkansas governor and Fox News contributor Mike Huckabee. But as protests against Chick-fil-A swelled across the country, dozens of groups and prominent individuals joined in support of the company. Among the groups is Project 21, a black conservative activist organization. One of its members, Demetrios Minor, said critics of Dan Cathy have taken his statements completely out of context. “I think liberals are missing a vital point in their blind hatred of Chick-fil-A,” Minor said in a statement sent to Fox News. “Being against gay marriage is not being anti-gay.” Crtitics of Chick-fil-A argue that the company’s opposition to gay marriage goes well beyond Dan Cathy’s statements. Over the years, its philanthropic wing, WinShape, has donated millions of dollars to outside organizations that actively lobby against efforts to legalize same-sex marriage. On Friday, supporters of same-sex marriage will have their say. They plan a “kiss-in” at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country – encouraging gays and lesbians to share a public display of affection at the home of the chicken sandwich. COMPANY FACTS Chick-fil-A is a family owned and operated company. It has 1,615 stores in 39 states 2011 sales were $4.1 billion. Groups and individuals supporting Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day • International Christian Concern, charity foundation • Focus on the Family’s CitizenLink • Wisconsin Family Action • George Faught, OK Congressional candidate • Rick Santorum, former US Senator from PA, and his Patriot Voices organization • Rich Hudson, NC Congressional candidate • Citizens United • Wallbuilders, an evangelical Christian American history education organization • Rep. Mick Mulvaney, SC 5th District , US Congress (R) • Liberty Counsel, legal advocacy organization dedicated to religious freedom • Project 21 – Conservative public policy group of African-Americans • Denison Forum on Truth and Culture – Evangelical outreach of Dallas pastor Jim Denison • Bob Vander Plaatz and The Family Leader, former IA gov candidate • Concerned Women of America, nation’s largest women’s advocacy group • Dave Weldon, former Congressman and candidate for US Senate from FL • Family Research Council • Rep Jeff Duncan, SC 3rd District, US Congress (R) • CURE, the Center for Urban Renewal and Education • Dan Patrick, TX State Senator • Rev. Billy Graham • First Baptist Church of Dallas, Rev. Robert Jeffress • Sarah Palin, former AK gov and former VP nominee

I'm sure the airport/whitesburg store will be worthy its a mad house on regular days. I Didnt take pictures but should have, walmarts lower parking has never seen that many cars. No one was arguing, cutting in line, complaining it was all stand up folks in there. It was a zoo, I couldn't even get into the parking lot and in the first 5 minutes of being in line at the light on Whitesburg, decided I would run and errand and come back an hour later...nope, still packed. Drove to the one on south memorial and parked next door in the redstone lot, ordered in about 5 minutes, got my food in about 20...their ice cream machine was on the blink and took awhile to get our milkshakes. I might go back for a dinner/snack after my softball game tonight.

This morning was the first time I ate one of their chicken biscuits. It wont be the last. That thing was GOOD! I don't reckon there is a thing on their menu that isn't good. I'm gonna have my 2nd chicken sandwich for this week here in just a little while.
