I’ve caught more coyotes trapping in one week than I’ve shot while hunting for 38 years. If you the coyotes gone, start trapping. This ^^^^^ So shooting the occasional coyote on a hunt will for sure make you never kill a big buck, but running around on the property all season long setting and checking traps every day is fine? Correct

I think lot of this goes back to a misunderstanding about what causes “pressure" and what doesnt

Never say never. I would rank running a trap line in season just as bad as running a "camera line" and rippin' and roarin' on ATVs and SXS .

I don’t do those things either but CNC says it’s not bad anyways. That big buck that might be 2 miles away when you shoot that yote definitely ain’t showing up anytime soon.

Deer dont really care about humans until you start shooting guns at them I think there is a misunderstanding of shooting a gun at a deer vs shooting a gun at a coyote.

Deer dont really care about humans until you start shooting guns at them I call BS, mature bucks are shy creatures , the older they are the more shy they are. Like Lige told Abe about Josey Wales " I've seen him do some things."

Most any buck that reaches maturity in Alabama has likely spent their life watching all of their bachelor group buddies be high graded in front of them and likely have been shot at themselves. They've likely been exposed to several negative incidents of being "shot at".....and it really only takes one to modify behavior

I usually shoot on site - usually they screw my hunt up anyway
As far as spooking deer trapping - I trap my main road system - where they travel anyway and May not get within 300 yards of my fields - don’t spook
Now when I Coon trap around my fields - I noticeably screw up my hunting. Prob done trapping Coon unless I kill couple bucks early
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Properties that are bow hunted only show significant differences in deer behavior.

After a long hot Summer, opening morning of rifle season, right at first light 5 yotes came out at the far end of a plot in the middle of a clearcut. One was noticeably bigger than the rest. They were moving around and wouldn't stop. I shot the big one and he did the spinning move. Spun off into the clearcut. The smaller females stopped and I busted one of them. Right at 200yds. Encore 7-08. Lucky shot probably, but got the big Alpha Male. Have a full body mount next to my fireplace.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
