I doubt half of what’s coming out is true. Honestly I think this is the boosters saving face like “see, we were right the whole time”. I understand AU fans are wanting to walk away from this with a warm fuzzy but it’s a terrible situation. All this negativity about Harsin now is just folks trying to control the narrative.

If most of what is being said is untrue, then I would say that’s character defamation that would probably affect him finding a better coaching position and he should sue. If he stays quiet then it’s either all true or he decided he just wanted to get if it behind him and move on regardless.

Hard to say what went on for sure but I’d bet the day that 6 or 7 million dollar check clears (should be sometime in the next 25 days or so) he will pop out with something to say about how everything went down. Kind of funny all these stories about how bad he was as a coach are popping out now. I think it’s a little bit of the media dog piling on, boosters spreading stories much like Free State said, and there is truth mixed in. The change needed to happen because the guy didn’t fit the mold/was never going to have support from the boosters no matter what, and in the NIL era you have to have the big dollars behind your program or you are at a severe recruiting disadvantage. Depending on what the new AD does after they find a replacement coach will tell me what direction the program is heading in. If there are no actions taken to address the booster problem then it’ll be business as usual and the program will be paying another buyout in 3-5 years.
