Butler creek and it doubles as a rest when putting on a shooting rail/house window ledge

Ultimate Firearm Sling by Specialty Outdoors Products. It's thermoplastic/rubber double strap. Will not slip off the shoulder. Top strap can go over your head so it can become a 2 shoulder strap when you need hands free to climb or drag or just hike. Best I've tried. USA made.

Cheap neoprenes have served me well by Allen or Uncle Mikes. I like the grippy slings more than classic leather. I'm constantly fighting to keep nylon and leather on my shoulder.

I’ve got a butler creek leather padded with a thumb loop I’ve been using about 25 years. The leather is very slick and it just rolls right off. I’m rather fond of it. I’ve got others but I find myself using it more often than not

I have a custom leather one that I typically use to shoulder carry the gun to the stand. Then I take it off and lower it to the ground - I don’t want anything attached to the gun that could get in the way.

I have several slings and I don't think any two are alike. I take them off as I am settling into my stand and I don't usually walk more than a half mile so I'm not too picky about them. Plain leather, padded leather, nylon military style, neoprene, it doesn't much matter.

If you want to sling a rifle properly, get a black one and strap it across your chest. You can carry comfortable all day, even if it's a heavier rifle. I got a savage I take out sometimes, but only if I'm on a casual stroll to a shooting house/ladder stand.

I go with magpul, but there's another hundred good options to choose from.
