Here's a "what if". What if Trump is doing this as a part of his 4D chess game, in order to take the heat off the other republicans that are actually going to seriously run. What if he's taking one for the team and plans to keep the press and dems busy beating up on him so that they stay off of Desantis and the others that have a real shot at winning. Trump runs all the way up until the last second then bails out, gives them the middle finger and says I'm supporting XXX candidate.

As others have said, Trump just screwed Walker. The screamers will be out in full force for the run-off just to spite Trump. I don't like it and wish it weren't so but Trump = Poison.

The Republicans can do plenty.... they have to fight for it though. That's my point. They can remove Garland via impeachment and possibly get a Special Counsel appointed.

So - they can do a whole lot more than just lay out the facts. That is only Step 1. If they choose too actually do something they have plenty of options look at what Nancy has done as Speaker. The Democrats have simply found no crimes. That won't be the case for the Republicans.

There are plenty of crimes to investigate. Not fake ones. That's the difference here.

The #1 reason the Democrats continue to win over and over is because Republicans are not fighting them on really anything. Listen to what you hear on the news... you will hear that McConnel doesn't engage with Republicans in the House and they certainly don't have much of a working relationship.

It's unbelievable Republicans allow this to go on... but reality says we are all being 100% screwed by the Bush, Cheney, Romney, Lindsey Graham, crowd.

Let's not forget how Trump ran up the national debt. And gave out all the free money that is a major factor in the inflation we are seeing now. Then there is the covid masks, the covid shutdowns, the vaccines, bump stocks. Yes, all that happened under Trump. We need a conservative in there. Trump is not conservative.

I think he'd have to mount a write-in campaign, if possible . Don't think after running as a Repub and not winning the nomination he could just run as an independent . You have to file how you're going to run well in advance, Repub, Dem , Libertarian , Independent , etc. He chose Repub .
