I'm sitting at the house watching kiddos and sipping coffee and hitting a few emails, living vicariously through you fellas. Between an early Texas bow trip and my son's doe and putting a buck on the ground last weekend, I'm fine to take a little break....at least until they start getting wound up around here.

My cams went crazy from dark till about 9pm last night. Nothing since. I knew they wouldn’t move this morning with the rain.

Been out here since 6 and nothing. Just about 4 or 5 other hunters cruising my spot late morning. Been quiet until about an hour ago. Got a diesel idling North of me for the last 45 minutes and two private landowners doing target practice to the south. I guess that is my luck.

About to head out on the river bottom.

In the nosebleeds this afternoon. My rappel/pull rope is 40’ and I drug my pack up about 8’ off the ground before I got settled in.
