I’ve had two bouts with Bell’s palsy. What you are describing, that’s what it sounds like. My first bout was in 2016. My second was in the beginning of June this year. Never fully recovered from the first and still having problems from the second. Pray you recover fully if that’s what it is.

This domino effect of different symptoms coming on is alarming I’d get to the ER now
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

Sounds like a delayed facial palsy secondary to a traumatic head injury. I am not sure I am following your timeline but if you developed these new symptoms and have not yet been evaluated, I would head back to ER for evaluation. If you have been evaluated since these symptoms developed and they recommended waiting to see the neurologist then it's probably a waiting game to see if the symptoms resolve overtime or improve overtime. Tough to diagnose over a computer but this would be my best guess with what you reported. Prayers for a full recovery!

Sounds like intercranial pressure, was there a bleed? Need to be sitting at a specialist tomorrow morning, in my opinion. Severe head injuries linger a long time and have a plethora of unexpected symptoms. My son had two skull fractures within a year. The second one had all kinds of complications. Physically he wasn't half what he was before the injury. I guess it's GOD's way of slowing you down until healed.
When it comes to head injuries, that's not the time to F around and find out.

Sounds like you’re having irritation of the facial nerve related to your head injury. I’m assuming you had a significant head injury with a skull fracture. If so then the swelling/edema related to a temporal bone fracture can cause your symptoms.

My mother was diagnosed with Bells Palsy 2 years ago and the medicine never made it clear up, I thought her doctor sucked, but she liked him. She recently went to live with my sister down in Clarke county. Well 3 days before thanksgiving she was taken to the emergency room because she was really off balance. She kept saying it is just her Bell’s palsy, well she was sent to mobile and they found a tumor on the rear of her brain. The tumor pushes on whatever controls facial muscles, hearing , and balance on left side. She was misdiagnosed 2 years ago. Go to a doctor, a good doctor, multiple opinions are better than one opinion. I hope you get better, I also have an employee that had a hydraulic torque wrench come off at 10,000 foot pounds and bust his skull open, he had bleeding on his brain and swelling, he missed 9 weeks of work. When I would go check on him he would always complain about the ringing and couldn’t stand it when his little girls would talk. His hearing was absent for awhile also. He got hit in back of the head about 3 inches up from the base of skull. I pray that you get better soon, and let me know if I can help out in anyway

There’s a dr on this thread telling him it isn’t Bell’s Pallsy. Same dr says go to neurosurgeon for follow up, soon.
I think I’d listen. Not a MD. just a nurse. But recent head injury with new cranial nerve palsy isn’t something I would ignore and would seek medical treatment for sooner rather than later.
