Too many to name a favorite, but anything from Ghost Train & TrimTab in B’ham is typically very very good. They do sours even better IMO.
The local brewery in Decatur makes a fine IPA called Space Owl, one reg & a fruited version. If I’m buying cans or bottles in a store, here lately I like Southern Juice & Hop Dang Diggity from Jekyll Brewing in Alpharetta, GA.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Doublewide is what I go to if I plan on more than 5. Sounds like something a southern guy would like. 😂😂

Take time to learn the different styles of IPA. You will figure out what you like. Someone mentioned that IPAs taste like grapefruit, that is not totally true. Some do, and that generally comes from the hops used not actual grapefruit. The Voodoo Ranger line is the top selling in the country. They have many variations of it. They are pretty good. IPAs are a dime a dozen. Generally they will be piney/earthy or fruity. Hazy/Juicy IPAs are popular right now and will usually be fruity.

I like a lot of IPA’s. Trim Tab small batch stuff is excellent. Ghost in the Machine from Parrish Brewery is really good as well. Had 4 of them tonight. Monday Night brewery has some good ones as well. Space Lettuce and Killer Raptor are good Pretty much anything that Trim Tab puts out is the best. I wouldn’t suggest going to the brewery unless your into alternative life style. Great beer but a bad place to end up drunk.

I will never know if there is a best IPA.

Two Hearted Ale Envie or Ghost in the Machine from Parish Monkeynaut Grapefruit Sculpin Sweetwater IPA
All of these are really good.
