Is it best 4 teams or best 4 resumes? If it's best 4 teams, they need to do away with the committee and let Vegas pick the teams. Bama would be in. If it's resume, Bama is out

If it's best 4 in, conferences should do away with conference championships. The top teams are being penalized for playing an extra game

The BCS was the best resume. Everyone complained about it. They said that the playoffs would fix it because it will pick the 4 best teams. Here we are, people don’t want that now.

I do, but I don't think their resume qualifies them for a spot. TCU has much better quality wins, and their 1 loss is to a top 10 team who they've already beaten once. So is it resume or perceived best team?

Alabamas only losses were to two top 10 teams. I think anyone would argue that the SEC is much tougher than the league in which the horned frogs live in. Shoot, I say line’em up and let them play for the tie breaker.

Neither one of those teams Alabama lost to were top 10 teams. They may have found their way up the ladder, but there's a reason they didn't stay.
Alabama struggled with Tejas, a team that is in the league that TCU & KState were top dogs.
Alabama also struggled with a weak aTm team, Ol Miss and an Aubarn team that had an interim coach where they knew they were going to run and still couldn't do a damn thing about it.

Best thing for Alabama would be to spend the off-season looking in the mirror as to why they sucked this year.

I’ve heard the argument about tcu’s resume is better. I’m going to need someone to explain that to me. They beat Texas. So did Bama. Otherwise their lone win against a top 25 team was k state who just so happened to lose their starting qb in the first quarter of that game, then in turn beat them in the rematch (with the same backup qb but after some time to actually practice with the 1s).

Bama doesn’t have a great resume either. I’m just not seeing TCU’s being any better. Bama has played poorly, play calling suspect, etc… but no one thinks TCU would beat Bama head to head. Not if they watched todays game.

Now all that typed and I think they leave Bama out.

I’m curious, with that high of a bar, to where Bama’s season sucks if literally the night before the final playoff rankings are released there’s debate if they get in……. what team do you root for? I’ve just got to see the measuring stick here to understand how much blind fandom is behind your statements

I don’t think the question is Bama vs TCU. TCU shouldn’t be penalized for playing in a conference championship game, W or L, if that’s their only loss of the season.

Michigan is not looking very impressive at all, against what appears to be a fairly weak Perdue team. Everyone on the field appears slow in comparison with the speed in the LSU and GA game earlier today. I think most of the mid level SEC teams could give the top big 10 and PAC 12 teams all they could handle and more. GA is head and shoulders above everyone else when Stetson is on. If he just plays average, there’s not a team out there that can beat GA 2 out of 3.

I dont know. A crappy high school team (Missouri) almost beat them. Nobody is that good this year.
