Yeah we ended up bringing it home. It's at my friends house since I have two dogs here that I wasn't sure would like having another around.

I might be a sucker, but I didnt want to leave it and the hunting land is 2 hours from my house. So it will just be another excuse to drive out there to hunt tomorrow

Just got off the phone with Ms. Kathy. I gave her your name and number. She is about to call you.

The dog is Kathy Crane's sons therapy dog. Her son is a military vet that suffers from PTSD and when his father got sick and died from cancer this dog helped him get through the grieving process of losing his father. That is what she told me during our phone conversation.

They are so glad to be getting it back. It will be reunited with them tomorrow. Well done Jono.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about "taking care" of the dogs that were running off "my deer". It's only 40 acres so it's pretty limited anyway, and I don't get out there very much at all. But we drove up and he looked so excited to see a human I couldn't help it. Fed him a can of Viennas and he was my hunting buddy the rest of the day

Plan is to take him back in the morning. Maybe now that he'll be home I'll see some deer on my evening hunt

Who knows it could open up a door leading to some hunting rights or at minimum someone to call if you get in a pickle over there one day.
