Nah, exteemem temp is gonna shut movement down. Monday when it's sunny with a south wind will be the day to go ^ This…you won’t see a single deer moving in the daylight on my properties in that kind of weather. It’s the middle of the rut and I’m going to work on Thursday and Friday 👎🏼

High winds, hunt thick, kill big deer. Really we always see more in open fields during really high winds. I always assumed they wanted out of tight spaces with everything around them moving. Why do you think they like thick on windy days?

I don't generally see that much movement in the bitter cold, much less bitter with high winds. Lastly, I lost my grip and fell backwards about 10' , from the top step of a shooting house in the late '80s or so.. Temp 4 or 5 degrees. As I lay on the ground, trying to figure what was broke and what was working, I realized I had a 3/4 mile trek to the truck. Not sure I'd have made it if I'd been badly hurt. If you go, ya'll be careful. We aren't used to worrying about freezing to death in this part of the world.
Used to be a lifeguard, until that blue kid got me fired.

Cause that’s where I kill big bucks on windy days. High winds are by far my most productive at killing mature bucks. They can’t hear, see or smell when everything around them is swirling so they get on their feet. Killed a lot of real nice deer this way. It happens to also be when everyone else stays home. I remember hunting very windy day and just trying to hold on to the tree. Never heard the other guy shoot. Killed a big 8 checking scrapes

I'll be going in the afternoon. I figured with the extreme cold temps and high winds those deer will hunker down until that sun gets up. I also don't have the proper equipment to hunt in -10 degree wind chills lol
A BAD DAYS HUNTING OR FISHING IS BETTER THAN ANY DAY AT WORK

Nah, exteemem temp is gonna shut movement down. Monday when it's sunny with a south wind will be the day to go Snow and extremely cold way below average temps have always seemed to shut deer movement down for me.

I’ll hunt Friday but I’m most excited about Thursday evening. That swing in temps will be wild

The best hunting days will be Mon, Tues, Wed of next week......... ![wink wink](/forum/images/graemlins/default/wink.gif) That's when I'll be out there.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
