At my long sendero - best feed time said 4:30 am to 6:30 - I was thinking how do u not scare any - sounded like I scared a dozen off when I got here - one still snorting way behind me - were any good bucks 😀? Phone died, which means no alarm and no hunting. Got a lot to do today, so maybe it’s for the best.

In for a short hunt this morning. Got the family coming to camp this afternoon so I gotta clean up a bit. Feels warm this morning compared to the last week, but I’ll take 36°. Sitting this field cause I put corn out Monday night and it was gone yesterday. Figured that meant a lot of deer were using it. Had a yearling walk through at first light.

At the Kia shop waiting to open and get wife’s telluride tires rotated. Felt right when I walked out the door. Good luck y’all.

Daughter and snl are closing on their house today . Got to help move the last stuff out of their house . New house isn’t quite ready but happy they got the old one sold . Thanks to our fearless leader the interest rates have killed the housing market. Pray for the young couple that bought it , hope they have good jobs and can make their payments ! Watching another road crossing, the wind is beating me in this tree

Watching the outer edges of a bedding area, dead as a hammer. Had a doe and a fawn on camera feeding this morning before I got here and heard a pack of coyotes not very far from me before sunrise. No sign of rut yet.

Seen a 4yr old 8pt pushing a doe and 3 other bucks cruising. It’s a good am.

No deer here but have 2 otters putting on a show in the creek behind me.

Been YEARS since I’ve hunted range. Seen bunch of good ones come outta there.

Sitting in a climber on an old log road, seen a good one here Monday morning working a scrape, too thick for a shot.
My hunting partner got a nice 8 pt just now across the road.

I ain’t seen a deer all week I don’t know what is going on

Been listening to chasing all morning. Was all excited when they were finally headed my way. 6pt came by with his tongue hanging out and 2 coyotes hot on his trail. Managed to hit one in the arse. Not what I was expecting but pretty sure I saved the deer.
