I don't think UAB has ever dropped the requirement at any of their facilities. That being said; I trust UAB for my families healthcare. Their Doctor's and portal are excellent

UAB never stopped the mask policy.

Its been that way for over a month i know and they are serious about it. However i did rebel vocally and wear the stupid mask under my chin the whole time i was in the waiting area. I took it off when they put me in the room.

My dad had to have triple bypass surgery the week of Christmas. I was willing to wear a mask all day to have their doctor's help.

Several hospitals are now starting the masking back. Democrats were loosing control. Says Covid is starting back up but the funny thing is the hospitals in my area are not showing it in the admissions.

I just saw a FB post about a guy I know that is in the hospital with Covid on vent at 100%. He is a local musician so he’s well known around here. I knew him well when he worked for UPS

Wouldn't let me in the waiting room while he was in surgery. Since some people want to ask if he would've been denied.

My 91 year old mother was transported to UAB end of November; she was in the ER for 2.5 days waiting on a room.

Since there is zero scientific evidence of masks working why do you thinks hospitals make you wear one.

They are probably told to. UAB makes $158k per COVID patient. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

I have to mask up during monthly INR tests for 10-20 minutes. Got them to stop pushing the shot on me by asking "Any explanation for spike in blood clot deaths since the booster came out? No? I'm trying to avoid getting blood clots not catch anymore." I still get a real dirty look from that person. By the way I'm at 1.8 and they want me between 2-3. I'd explain it but nobody can read my meanderings.

My Doc was at the Inverness location until he retired a couple months ago and I was required to wear a mask for my appointments. Would take it off once in the exam room and he never said a word.

Spent most of New Year's weekend at UAB hospital with my mom. The face diaper policy was enforced by a few mask Nazis but went without most of the time there.

required to wear one to see my endocrinologist at Huntsville hospital. Funny thing is, they make you wear on to get in the building (medical tower), but the actual staff doesn't care....or ever wear them themselves.

I get pissed when folks wear them in my store. Makes me uneasy and gives off a bad vibe. Not only that, but I simply cannot understand folks if I can’t read their lips. Communication is pretty important for us as well.
