I don't post much on here but I wanted to share a story that happened this morning at our place in Livingston. First off, its been slow for us the past week or so and bucks haven't been moving in the daylight. Our rut usually kicks in about this time of the year. My ole man has been after a big 8 all season and has dedicated almost every hunt to him with no success. Lots of trail cam footage of him during the middle of the night. He decided to do an all day sit in an area he new the buck was living. He saw 7-8 does early this morn but nothing since. We knew this buck was in the area bc we had pics of him last night. He decided to rattle at 1PM and the buck came trotting out of the pine thicket. He was able to shoot the buck at 30 yards. This was the first time in his life that he actually rattled up a big buck and he was excited like a kid on Christmas morning. It worked for him, it might be worth trying if you have a big buck that never shows his face during the day. This deer has very long G2s, I would post the picture but not sure how to
