I am in no ways a great hunter. Grew up 50 miles north of Tampa. My dad took me, we hunting doves, squirrels, quail, etc. Deer were very few and far between. Before the age of ~30 I had only seen ~20-30 deer while hunting in total. Since then started hunting bama/GA and have seen many deer. Hunted, shot gun, etc since I was ~8. I struggle even today >50yrs old, to estimate the size of deer, especially from a stand.

Having said that, if youtube is an indication of the average hunter, I am 100% confident that I am a better hunter than 80% of the people hunting. And 1,000% confident that I can out-shoot 95% of the hunters. On aldeer I expect that I am below average in both of those aspects.

Heck man, they can’t even tell day from night. They hunt deer at night, every afternoon in the broad daylight.

I never understood that either. The very definition of “night’’ is darkness. To me “killed one last night” involves a Q-beam!!

You’re right!! They worry to much about getting the shot in camera then making the shot. There is a few good hunters on YouTube but most of them have someone filming them. That self filming stuff is for the birds. I don’t need another reason to mess up a shot. I can do that just fine on my own.

Catman Outdoors is the only one I watch. Enjoyed watching him grow up on YouTube.

Another vote for catman. Like the guys style......no BS. Just realistic hunting and the audience is along for the ride.

Catman is a cool dude. Very good no nonsense hunter with no advertising, outfitted hunts or other bs. Catman and hunting public are the only ones I watch. The "pro" hunters are a damn joke with their canned outfitted hunts and high fence bs. They suck.
