I am looking to get a spreader for next year. Takes me about that long to decide and pull the trigger. I am only going to use it a few times per year. My dad is getting old and can't help anymore, son is in Miami in school, so I need to do more by myself. Should I do a pull behind or an electric one. School me on why/what. Pull behind: 12V spreader:

If you're gonna spread with a pickup, the truck mount is the only logical choice. The one on the bottom is a Buyers products spreader. We are a dealer for them. They make pretty good stuff. I've never laid hands on one of those spreaders, but they make and sell a lot of salt spreading equipment, so they know how a spreader is supposed to work.
You'd sling that little pull behind all over the place in a pickup. It would likely turn over, IMO.

I’d stop your search for what type and go ahead and mark a pull behind off your list. They are miserable to use and you’ll be ready to burn it after about 15 minutes. You will flip it and you will bend the tongue.
Start focusing on which truck mount spreader you need and narrow it down from there.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

Look into All Seasons Feeders. I have one and it’s been top notch. Same here.

Start focusing on which truck mount spreader you need and narrow it down from there. I hate mine for that reason. It needs a wheel base about twice as wide so it’s not constantly turning over.
