I did a loopback on radar correlation coefficient when Selma was hit and you can see the debris carried almost 90 miles and dropped around Alexander city and everywhere in between. That is absolutely crazy!

Some Marriott/Auburn
South of Alex City got tore up.
Lake houses/parts of lake houses are in the lake.

The only blessing is that it’s off season, in theory many of the homes should be empty.

I’m trying to get home but I’m stuck in traffic right below the house. Reports from neighbors say that our place is ok and my parents place is ok but the community of Equality to the east of us got hit hard. Multiple houses destroyed from what I’m hearing. It crossed 231 less than a half mile below my parents house.

Just heard from a friend in Edwin (Henry County). They have substantial damage there and it is widespread. Just happened right before dark.

Thanks. I ask because there were some schools taking shelter that were not remotely in the path of a storm. That was in the Tuscaloosa area though.

Joe I know Lakeview Elementary did. My wife works there and texted me wondering where it was. It was between Duncanville and Moundville when they made them go in the hallways. For 45 minutes they were made to sit in the hall like that with no tornado around. Some people need common sense
