Finding .260 Remington is about the same. Had good luck finding barnes 260 at midway, they have some now.

I might have a few boxes that I missed when I sold my Ruger M77 in 280. I'll look and see and shoot you a PM after I get home this evening.

Longest shot that I had taken with my .280 was at the Talladega CMP and it was a consistent round at 600 meters. I didn't have any trouble putting it in the A zone on a man sized target. For deer the longest shot I took was about 300 meters. I don't like shooting deer much more than that just because they like to move frequently.

The Hornady 154 in .280 will tote the 330 yards without much issue (300 meters is 328 yards so I call it 330.) If you made me pick a long action instead of a short action Rems 280 would get a very hard look always felt if O'Connor hadda had the 280 first at full Saami things would be different.

300 meters with what ammo? I just clear my 88 acres and I'm looking for the right ammo that far out for a Pre 1964 Model 70 in .280. 300 meters is not a problem for any 280 Rem ammo you pull off the shelf if you put it in the boiler room.
