More of a gun store but , I'd hit Larry's in Madison. Much better than the Huntsville location. Larry has a lot of his personal stuff on display too.

Wow that surprises me. I figured there had to be a couple Marks/Nichols/Simmons type stores You know I haven't thought about it , you're right. Back in the day there was Wiley's , it was a good outdoor store .

Used to have Wileys and JC's guns too. REDSTONE Pawn off of North Parkway has a few guns, but no other outdoor stuff. There’s a store called Mr Big Guns in the old JC’s building. I haven’t been in there, but I’ve seen a few posts about them.

Huntsville doesn't have good outdoors stores like Mark's or Simmons.
Winter Timber in Athens has all of the Sitka gear you want if that's what your looking for.
Vans in Cullman is a very good store and seems to be doing very well as a business. As complete of a hunting, shooting and fishing store you will find in Alabama. Was in there late yesterday and it was packed.

Besides cables and similar stores what are the best outdoor stores in Huntsville/Madison? More of a gun store but , I'd hit Larry's in Madison. Much better than the Huntsville location. Larry has a lot of his personal stuff on display too. Does roadkill still work at the Huntsville location?

If you need things that go bang, Larry's. If you need archery stuff, Full Draw or Custom Archery Center. Or head to Big Daddy's or Van's or the one in Athens.
