My taxidermist had a giant Alabama 8 pt in his shop but it was a high fence deer. I would love to see the ones you guys are talking about as they must be very impressive. Here’s the one I mentioned to 2dogs. It’s about 20” bigger than 150. Good grief what a deer.

We killed 8's that were over 150 in a club I use to hunt in . A 150 8 is a heck of a deer anywhere. I have never personally seen or know anybody that has seen a 150 Alabama 8 pt but I obviously must not have hunted the area you are talking about. I have hunted Alabama since 1984 and the biggest 8 I have seen taken in the state is a high 140s buck killed near Eufaula.many many years ago. I have only hunted the southern third of the state from Selma down. The area he’s talking about has produced a 167” 8. I’ve held it in my hands. I know of a 162, 159, and literally a truck load of them in the 150-158 range. I’ve got one I killed there in 2000 that has a broken brow tine that scores 148 and change. He was 150 if not busted up.

Here's an 8 point for you scoring experts to take a stab at.... Now that I see as a 150” 8 it’s a stud but the one heavy posted holly shucks.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Wow, I had no idea there was anyplace in Bama that regularly produced that kind of deer, let alone 8 pts that score that high. You guys are fortunate to have had that kind of deer to hunt. You will be hard pressed to find those anywhere else.
