How long Do you want to live and why ?
I used to think around 92 and then I'd go home
I cant honestly think of why I'd want to live that long with all the bodily pain that comes with it
I'll just stick around until He calls me home

When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself
The older I get the better I used to be

Jimmy Carter figured it out but he’s being called home

It is more about the quality of life than a number

My father passed Wednesday at 92. He just wore out. One of the best men you could ever know. He will be missed.

Sorry for your loss, although 92 is a long life, its still tough to lose a parent.

One thing for sure, we are all dying right now. When the clock stops is the question. After having a grandson pass at <4 months, and seeing a cancer-ridden Dad pass at 86, I've had 58 years of living and doing what I want (within reason), raised kids and grandkids, traveled the world some, enjoyed most of my time. I'm good now. The rest is gravy. While I'm breathing, I hope to be living, and not just alive.

I'll go tomorrow if the Lord will let me. I'll stay here and work as long as he wants me to. I sure am looking forward to heaven though. Only reason I have to stay here at all is the responsibility I have to be a husband and father. If the Lord had plan b for that, I would go right now.

I'll go when He calls.

In the meantime, I want to do my best to live for Him.

I hope to glorify and honor Him every day, by being who I am, by sharing Him with others, and by following His will for my life.

Help me Lord God to do these things, for I am weak and unable to do anything beyond your strength!

I don’t have a number. If it’s tomorrow, fine, or another 30 years. Preferably I’d like to live as long as possible as long as I still have a good quality of life AND I’m not a burden to my family.

Unless the Lord has other plans, tomorrow or 102. I don’t figure I’ll live till around 60. Just a men’s thing in my family. Not sure they’ve been one passed 63 on both sides for a couple generations.. I’m content with that.

A better question would be why would any born again Christian want to stay here? There are alot of reasons Given that are usually absurd. 1) I want to see my grandkids grow up.....then they'll have great grandkids and you'll want to see them grow up.....2) well my kids will miss me..... there will never be a day you'll leave here and your kids don't miss you....3) we need to get all the lost folks saved.... The population increases every day so it don't really matter how long you wait to leave earth, there will always be lost people and more of them every day.....That's just a few of the reasons people say they want to stay on earth today instead of going to heaven. But using that kind of reasoning, there will never be a good time to go to heaven.

My main reason would b for my kid and my wife - i use to ask the Lord to let me stay until my son got saved - well he got saved

I see so much more the kid needs amd wife needs me - after that who cares

With all that said - if the Lord does take me - he already has plan to take care of them. Family needs the main reason for my desire to stay - i by far our greatest bread winner

And i would also like to plant lot more seed - invite more folks to church - why we here - to serve him and lead others

I stress out to much at work - i not always the example i need to be - worry more than i should - forget all battles he won for me already

Amd i hav been horrible on here at times - usually when somebody is being a dick - but my action is really worse. Lord did not put me on dick r bully patrol

Forgot to mention - my mom still here - it would kill her if she out lived me. I gone go when he takes me and dont think about that much - but for mom - i hope i out live her

She in a nursing home and i one of the few that regularly sees her - i take care of medicade and all of her bills
But his plan is perfect and none of this here on earth ours anyway

Always thought 90 if health was good. Way I’ve felt this wknd will be much sooner I hope. Stomach bug or something. Reading aldeer this wknd has been depressing at times and I feel a part of the Old Farts club.

Not sure anyone can comprehend the dying process so nah most of us don't want to die. Though we know where we are going, we still see the devastation the loss of life causes for those we leave behind. Not to mention some of the painful ways of death we see
