Who knows the details? Friend is in it and already stacking them up around my feeders. Supposedly 4 man teams and they go by weight. Sounds fun and I will try and get more details later when they are finished hunting.

A. You can shoot sq around feeders in AL?

B. How do they keep people from weighing in cooler sq? You know those ones that show up on tailgate shots where they claim to have bucket fulls in a morning over their feist?

The limits for squirrels are 8 per day and 8 in possession. I'm not one to throw a hissy fit over someone possessing more than 8 squirrels, but I don't recommend having that possession documented.

I would think they would have enough sense to meet somewhere private and pick out the ones that weigh the most and dispose of the rest.

If I would known it was coming up I may have entered. Sounds like a fun enough time. And really any reason to get out and burn some gun powder is a good reason.

I’ve got an area ate up with Fox squirrels too. A man could really start racking up. Like catching big largemouth when everyone else has smallmouth lol

The winners had 36 lbs/32 squirrels. My buddies team had 30.11 with 32 squirrels. They only had 2 fox squirrels in their bag and he got those. Said only like 7 fox squirrels brought in which surprised me. He thinks they had 32 teams. 1000 first place It takes 32 really healthy squirrels to weigh 36 pounds

Fox sq apt to not cooperate for having to weigh in at 2. I'd shoot 4 grey per man early then gamble on getting 2 fox each by 1. Really, tho, I'm not sure fox sq would stand that kind of pressure regularly.

Glad I don't have to clean all those sq. I shoot three and go home.

Yep, they seem to be thriving around my beaver areas lol but also every where else. I’m glad he killed a big pile, they set my cameras off and damage my corn. Most people don’t realize a squirrel and especially fox squirrels climb a stalk of corn and will ride it down
