Achy Breaky Heart - rather die than listen to that

I refuse to listen to sad, depressing music anymore. Same with tv/movies that downers. I just refuse it.....there's too much sad terrible stuff going on in the real world watch/listen to something that's gonna bring you down for "entertainment".

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

agree Gomer. Several years ago I turned off Rick and Bubba and listen to Klove. It was shocking how much better my view of the world is now.

Haven’t read 8 pages so it may have been mentioned- Chisled in Stone by Vern.
Old violin by Paycheck deserves a mention.

"That's My Job" by Conway Twitty...my dad died March 19, 2018. Later that night, I had the radio playing while trying to find insurance paperwork and other documents I knew we'd be needing. The song came on and I lost it...and I head it several times over the next few days. I was telling my sister later that week and she said she had heard "Daddy's Hands" several times over the previous few days. It was like Daddy was talking to us through the radio.

No telling how many times I had heard Jamey Johnson's "Lead Me Home" and never really paid attention to it until we were trying to find songs for Mom's funeral. I had my playlist on my phone on shuffle one day while out and about getting ready for Mom's funeral and it came on. I decided then and there that would be played at mom's services.

To this day, any time I hear either song I can't hold the tears back

"Play me the songs about a ramblin' man
Put old Jim Beam in my hand
'Cause you know I still love to get drunk
And hear country sounds
But don't you play, "Your Cheatin' Heart"
'Cause that'll tear me all apart
I'll get whiskey bent and hell bound"

Don’t know if it was mentioned, but Glen Campbell’s “I’m not going to miss you”. The song he recorded for his family after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Sad damn way to go.
