It is probably still in the sewer line (depends on location of the toilet and if it is downstream from other waste water sources). The main line from your house sits above the septic tank. Remove the lid from tank #1 and place a porous catch bag over the end of the pipe. Flush the system from the toilet to see if you can get it to fall into the catch bag. Use a hand held metal detector (Garret Carrot) to search the bag. It is at on end of the house and all other waste water sources are at the other end. As soon as it happened no water on the side where it happens was ran You could probably open the septic tank and put a catch mesh basket under the pipe and run water down the line and have a chance of flushing the ring into the basket. Other option is call the man with a camera and see what they can see/find. as stated above.
