It may help to think in terms of numbers of pellets in a load. 2oz Pb 5s has about 350. 1 5/8oz of T9s has about 540 pellets. Whereas the lead load choked well is adequate, the T9 load is overkill.

If you want the big numbers or intend to snipe at distance, then you'll need to test chokes and find whether your barrel likes to be polished and squeaky clean versus fouled, etc. For the usual distances, you won't have to, which saves the expense and work you just went through.

Point of impact will often be different with TSS. You need to shoot a big sheet of paper to find the center of the pattern. Your 132 pattern could be sending a lot of pellets down into the breast making it inedible.

I'd suggest getting a roll of contractors paper or old wrapping paper and cut off big pieces to shoot at. It's harder to tell what your pattern is doing on those small targets.

I only had one shell of the Federal 7/9 TSS blend and I shot it the other day. So today I bought some Federal TSS 9's. If I he don't die I'm coming back on here and cuss every single one of you!
