Storms I'm ok with but this 11am start for a baseball tourney 2 hrs away is really putting a damper on opening day. It's my sons senior year so I guess I'll forgo opening day. There will be more turkeys but watching him play ball is coming to an end quicker than I want it to

I’ll be at the feeder at daylight in my pop up blind about 70 yards from said feeder with TSS. Hopefully a Jake shows up they taste better. Now this is a man with a plan! My plan, considering the weather forecast, is coffee at 5am, BIG breakfast on the griddle at 6am, and then waiting on the front porch for the weather to break a little. As soon as it slows down just a little, we're walking. If the Good Lord decides to make it easy, one will walk through in range of the front porch.

I’ll be hunting a tree about 8:30 if I do.

You ain't lived until you've had a turkey come in while dropping the kids at the pool

Or had a major pain hit in the middle of working one ALWAYS take an extra pair of draws… Outback taught us that! I’ve never in 35 years of turkey hunting had an emergency bad enough while one is gobbling and coming. The body is able to shut that down completely somehow. Adrenaline maybe? Not sure, but hasn’t happened one time. Buncha amateurs……

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I’ve ripped the button off of my britches trying to get them down quick enough to prevent painting my drawers WHILE working a gobbling bird that is actively coming to me. I have never killed a turkey with my pants down, but I have came close once.
I also took a dump while a roosted longbeard watched me. I did not know he was there until I pulled my britches back up. Wound up killing him two hours later. Honest to god.
last one I killed...hadn't heard anything all morning. It was about 11:30 and I was walking back to my truck. stopped to take a leak and one gobbled on his own maybe 100yds away. Quite literally "caught me with my d*** in my hand". I "put it away" as quick as I could, didn't even zip up, and found a tree. couple yelps and a few minutes later he was dead. I took a couple of pics with him only to realize that my pants were still unzipped, so I zipped up and took new pics

Weather is messing with my plans. Looking like I won’t make it to the woods until 8ish rathe than daylight as I had originally planned
Not the worst problem in the world, but slightly aggravating I’m hoping I don’t have any business or home damages so I can make it to the woods. As long as my family and others are safe I will head out

I actually hope it'll rain a little after daylight. Bout an hour and a half drive from my house. Give me time to get up there without getting up at dark thirty.
