I don’t know what you doing TDog but I’m glad for you as well. Makes it ally more enjoyable to at least see them die than to not be in the game at all

Not a peep at my place this morning. Did a good bit of walking and tried to strike one up but it just wasn't happening.

My first hunt of the year with the gun in my hands...Not much gobbling on the limb, but I got lucky and had two longbeards pitch down into the hayfield I was set up on (to work the only bird that did gobble a couple of times on the roost). These birds were roosted across the hayfield from him and his hens and these birds hadn’t said a peep on the limb. They were high-tailing it across the hayfield to go to the gobbling bird as soon as their feet hit the ground. They landed about 125 yards from me and I instantly started giving them some soft yelps. They were on a mission to go to the henned-up bird, so I knew soft calls weren’t going to accomplish anything!! I got more aggressive and was able to turn them. It took them about 25 minutes to ease within range, but the TSS did its thing at 45 yards about 7:20. The gobbler I killed gobbled about 10 times within 75 yards of me and strutted the whole time after I got aggressive with the calling. It was a heck of a show!!!

Awesome AUDeer - congrats

Dirk - i had about 3 years of almost never being in the game - it takes the starch out of u. I had multiple years of going on around 21 straight hunts multiple amd never sitting down to one - that will make u want to quit - a lot of guys would quit

I hope i get a few more - but may only get the one n bama - start back to work Monday and rain tomorrow amd i don't know of a gob on my private amd just starting to learn some public - that gone take a while

Congrats to those who got one today! I thought I was about to shoot one and 2 dogs flushed him. They were pets that had collars; just part of hunting in the modern world.

I scared one at 20 steps this morning and am still sick about it. Came in late morning after not gobbling for a while and only drummed once as I was packing up to head out. Swung to shoot and did not know he had a buddy with him that had swung about 30 yards to his left and got busted.
