No luck messing with a henned up bird Saturday morning but put one in my gf's lap Sunday morning and she missed. He didn't run fast enough and I didn't miss! I’ve had 3 different birds close enough to listen to them drum and haven’t laid eyes on one yet. Maybe next time. Good luck fellas

Plan is to jump in the truck and let one yellow cell of rain blow over. Owl one last time before heading to the truck and hear a gobble. Decide to get in a shooting house closer to the gobble. Starts a light rain and I see the turkey hit the power line about 400 yards and go the other way. I can’t stand it and called to him. He immediately reverses and heads my way. Look at the radar again and think I can make it. Ha! Shot him with rain running down the crack of my butt and off my hat bill.
