Why the heck would it matter if she put ear muffs on before she blew herself up if that is the ultimate plan?! I don't understand that at all. I don't think that protecting one's hearing when they will be blown to bits makes any sense.  I would wonder if the bomb was already planted and she was just a remote trigger waiting for the right time.
