Anyone have any or been around any?

A friend of mine has some, I really like enteracting with them.

Really neat to see how they act.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

When my grandma was still living, she kept a couple of tame birds in the yard. I used to have great fun popping in a mouth call and making them come run to deck in front of her house. Those stupid things would literally run into the deck, bounce off, collect themselves for a second, and then crash into the deck again. She had a really old white and black turkey that had a bad attitude and would chase us around while we played in the yard. It quit chasing me when I whirled around one day and kicked it in the chest and knocked it over.

BC my uncle had a white and black turkey running around his yard for a couple of years. if you sat down in his yard it would come lay beside you so you would pet him. he disappeared a few years ago during turkey season.....

Barn yard turkeys have made a lot of folks think they could call a wild one up. laughup laugh

I used to drive by some everyday going to school. They had one gobbler. I would pull over when I had time and mess with him. He would gobble his head off too. I'm sure the owners probably thought I was a nut

There is a tame turkey at the B'ham public zoo. I went there a few weeks ago and heard him gobbling while looking at other wildlife.I watched him for about an hour strutting and drumming. There is also a tame turkey down the road from where I live. I stop everyday and make him gobble. Can't stop thinking about those toms!
