last year I hunted around montgomery from the first time, flying into new orleans and driving up with a friend. Going to do it again this year but wondering if anyone had a recommendation on a public or private range somewhere in, S MS, SW AL or on the drive up from new orleans where we can stop, check zeros and shoot some further distances 500+? Either public or if any ranges do a guest pass for a day or something like that?I just don't have anything longer than 100 yards where I'm at, any tips are appreciated

I think there's only two public state ranges in AL that go beyond 100 yards, both of them are in north AL and they only go to 200 yards. there may be a private run range with the distance you're looking for.

Gunport in Irvington isn’t too far from I-10 and you can stretch out a ways there.
