Interesting but all of this matters zero if you haven’t accepted Jesus as your savior! All of the Old Testament (Adam&Eve, Abraham, David, etc., were all there for one reason and one reason only. They were there to prepare the way for us to have a Savior and his name is Jesus. Yes the Old Testament is important but it all points to Jesus. If you didn’t realize that yet, there is always time to learn. Sounds like wisdom to me. I’m not someone who believes that you have to take everything literally in order to have faith and I’m ok with that. I think some stories such as the one about Adam and Eve were probably early man’s best attempt at explaining how things came to be…..Even the story itself couldn’t have existed until humans developed complex enough language skills to tell it. CNC, it’s ok to have doubts and be confused. Everyone struggles with that, including me. If you know God, through His son Jesus, then talk to Him about it. If you don’t, He is ready willing and able to remedy that. As far as humans developing complex language skills, I read that Adam and Eve were already there. They learned it from the same place you and I did, from their father lol. Have a good day.

All these questions will be answered one day when we stand before god . Until then just have keep the faith . God is all knowing god . Many things we as human that worship Jesus wonder bout an question that contradicts what scientists discovered . From why the flowers bloom or where is garden of Eden will be answered. Heaven will be a wonderful place

Wasn't there giant skeletons found near a big bend in the Coosa River maybe near Ball Play? News to me and that's my backyard. But there's no telling, Ballplay is a unique place. LOL There is a Ballplay Swamp Monster though. I know a guy that says he's seen it 6 times.

This series of replies is one of the reasons that teaching evolution is wicked and Godless. The very first sin was questioning God's word..."did God REALLY say....?" Even the church is full of it. God-honoring men and women intermingle evolutionary religion with scripture. Yes, evolution is a religion, not a science. Which has always been a trigger for me when folks say we can't teach religion in schools. WE ARE!!!!
Evolution is 100% backwards from a biblical trajectory of humanity. I submit to you that Adam was made perfect, FAR more advanced than we are. Humankind has been DEvolving ever since. Sin ushered in death, spiritual and PHYSICAL death, literally broken at the genetic level. We are NOT getting better like evolution would imply, that flies in the face of biblical eschatology. Again, did God REALLY say a literal 6-day creation? Did God REALLY say we are spiritually stillborn and physically dying?? Dying people don't get better. If you're impressed with human advancement today, can you imagine what it would look like if we were still a living, perfect creation??? Evolution isn't a harmless alternative theory to how everything got here, it is a direct, intentional, total opposition attack on God's word.
When the plain sense makes the most sense, then any other sense is nonsense. "And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day". This is not a matter of subjective interpretation. There is ZERO room for discussion. No, "day" was not allegorical and coulda meant "a thousand years" like it does in other parts of scripture. Scripture is full of different literary "types". Literal accounts of history, poetry, allegory, and so forth. Evolution is not a possibility from interpretation of the creation account, it is a direct, intentional, total opposition attack on God's word. Did God REALLY say???? It was the first sin, and it's still the main sin today. It's the genesis of all this LGBTQ trans crap.... Did God REALLY say he created them male and female??? Or did we "evolve" and now have reached a heightened state where we recognize "male and female" were wrong?

I've never understood how someone could believe that there is a God who could do the impossible (make life where none existed prior), but NOT be able to accept that He did it the way He says He did it?

The problem is that we know more today then anyone ever did at the time of the Bible. Things that happened in that place in time, which were unable to be explained.... they are easily explained in 2023.
That doesn't mean you can't still believe in the Bible. But times have changed and making a lot of these arguments is borderline silly.
For me the Injuns had the best plan. They went to the Happy Hunting Grounds. Easy living fishing and hunting for eternity... sign me up.

Yet we still can't create life from nothing. We can't reproduce evolution in a lab. The more we think we know, the more we prove ourselves fools. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man..."

That is why almost every widely accepted religion except Buddhism believes in a deity or deities. In our religion, Christianity we call the deity "God". Same God that the Muslims and Jews believe in. For the Hindus it's Brahman. The Indians called it "The Great Spirit".
IMO that's evidence of God.
The biggest problem with Christianity and it's ultimate downfall will be none of this.... The root problem is simply that you ask 3 Chirstians what they blieve and you get 3 answers. It appears you can sort of make it up to suit you. I'm talking about people sitting in Church saying they are Christian then voting for a political party that wants to mutilate Children and get your health insurance to pay for it..
Thousands of years from now people will likely read stories from the Bible alongside the Iliad and The Odyssey.

I think science actually shows us pretty compelling evidence of their being a “creation” event. Check out what is called the Cambrian explosion…….This actually throws a monkey wrench in some of Darwin’s ideas. We can look at fossils going all the way back to this time period when suddenly a vast array of microorganisms just appeared on the landscape with nothing prior to that time for them to “evolve” from. Where did all of that life suddenly arise from???

Scripture instructs us to agree on the cornerstones of salvation. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, he came to earth 100/100 God/Man, died on the cross as the sacrificial Lamb of God and will one day return. Salvation is free if you are willing to pay for it- it will cost you your sin, you must repent and be born again(not improved or better than before) Other than that, Disciples may disagree on the particulars i.e. implicits about heaven, timetable for rapture and creation, etc. As long as you get Salvation right, the other particulars will be revealed to us in Eternal timing if the Father sees fit. If not, then who cares. Our ultimate problem is solved anyway if our name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life and we have an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

The word faith is the most important word to know, understand and to have as a person, then all those questions and doubts don't matter.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
