Any home remedies? Seems like the last one I took to vet he didn't do anything and lived...

Probably copperhead or water moccasin, I've never seen any rattlers here all my life.

Benadryl and a biscuit soaked in bacon fat was what we always gave our hunting dogs. Of course that was the 80’s and 90’s when folks (and dogs) were built different then.

When I worked at an emergency vet most snake bites were treated with an injection of diphenhydramine (Benedryl), an injection of penicillin (antibiotic) and an injection of dexamethasone (steroid). We did keep some antivenin on hand, though. This was also 17 years ago so the protocol may have changed.

Probably right at 7ft. My wife didn’t go to the club with me anymore after we found that one

How big a dog? Seen a Great Dane get hammered by 2 rattlesnakes in the same summer. He made it fine with little care. A pup 40lbs 6 months old

I've had two of my dogs get bit and did fine.......just a lot of swelling and lethargic behavior ...I think a lot has to do with where the bite is located.......One of mine was on the nose and the other low on the leg.......One was a rattlesnake and the other was unknown though I think it was a moccasin because I killed one in the same area the following day.
