The pizza delivery fee is what covers the insurance, gas, and vehicle wear, for the car and driver. Mostly its insurance. Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc... have all been sued hard by insurance companies over the years for drivers getting in accidents.
The driver gets about $1.00 per delivery for gas and vehicle wear. Insurance companies are evil. I get older and so does my truck, and yet my rates never seem to go down.
