Trigger is in now? Someone told me it went out in May but I haven’t looked. One of the best eating fish in my opinion.

To make things as difficult as they can. They sure do eat good. Congrats on the great trip

Make some smoked mackerel dip with those spanish. It’s good stuff. I add a few bacon bits to mine and it’s hard to beat!

I think trigger was considered that because it was hard to catch a keeper size and they are hard as crap to clean. Not when they are in season you catch freaking monsters and these electric bubba knives make it a little easier. The meat has always been pretty white and flaky. I love it.

AJs are still cat food. And they pull too hard to fool with if they don’t taste that good. I hate it when people say hey let’s run south and catch some AJs. I’m like ok but I’ll hold the boat, y’all fish.

I don't care one bit to go catch an AJ. Most legal ones have bubble-headed Spaghetti worms in them....but the TOURISTS don't seem to mind. And it's quite funny how ALL the Charter Captains refer to Red Porgy's as "White Snapper". Been pacifying a many of a Tourist for a LONG time with that term for them..

There are no porpoises in the Gulf of Mexico. They’re all dolphins.

And should be fair game along with all sharks.

Nothing more aggravating then throwing back an out of season fish or a snapper that over the 2 possession only to watch it be eaten immediately by flipper.

Cuaght bunch of under size red snapper today only 2 keepers did load the boat with bunch of bee liners which I like better than reds! Caught few triggers and 3 lane snappers but the 80 mile round trip wasn’t worth it in my opinion. Was on a guys boat that wanted to keep running further out I’m wore out
