Agreed on Makita being some very good tools also.
And don’t loan them to anybody w/out a Marlin 45/70 to hold until they bring them back…and if they don’t bring them back, bring me the Marlin & I’ll go get you two electric impacts/ratchet of whatever you want.

I bought a 1/2 drive Dewalt back at Christmas from Tractor Supply. They had them for $249 and you got to pick out an extra tool with it. I got the circular saw and have used it more than the impact.

We have a couple of the Milwaukee Fuel 18v impacts at work. We haven't used the air impact since we got them. just be careful. On 3 they will ring off a stud before you can stop it. Even on a bigger truck.

Right now I have a
Dewalt 1/2 inch
Milwaukee 1/2 inch
Matco 1/2 inch
Matco 3/4

Matco are 20volt
Others are 18 volt

Listed weakest to strongest
Dewalt I wouldn’t trust for lugnuts without I torqued when done
Milwaukee I would with known hot battery
Matco 1/2 with hot battery, you best not hammer on them
Matco 3/4 anything less than a 5/8 bolt either spins or breaks. I carry it for roadside driveshaft removal on heavy truck tows. I hate struggling with driveshaft bolt that won’t come loose when I’m stressing getting run over. It instantly solves the issue one way or another. I’ve changed heavy truck tires with both Matco guns

Craftsman 1/2 drive has served me well. Got it off Amazon.

We use one at work everyday putting megalug fitting together in a ditch. We don’t buy the high end ones because they fill up with dirt like all that others and wear out. Kobalt has been the best for the money that we’ve found. They last about a year for us. I’m talking about the big ones you would use for 1”+ bolts

Certainly not the quality of DeWalt nor Milwaukee but I've been pleased with my Ryobi

I have the Milwaukee 1/2 and 3/4 drive. It hurt me when I bought them but I got over that the first time I had a big job to do.

I caught a harbor freight on sale about 2 yrs ago. Its done fine so far on truck and tractor tires. I throw it in the back when one of us goes on road trips

I’m about to buy one of those Milwaukee 1incH drive impacts for my dump truck and equipment trailer. The one I used it would flip two people over if you didn’t hold on to it

Buy which ever system you already have

Ford Chevy
Nikon Canon
Dewalt Milwaukee

Folks are brand loyal and some folks switch and swear they found the holy grail
Any of the name brands should be more than sufficient,

Had a rodeo guy and his girlfriend's stock trailer break down past entrance to our lease on 231 couple of weeks ago. He showed me a couple of things: Impact wrench faster fer sure, couple of 4x4 blocks to pull trailer tire that's not flat up on so you can get flat off without jack. And lastly always wear gloves just in case. So, Stupid (me) picked up his blown out flat to throw in truck bed. Yea, steel was coming through the rubber in spot I thought I looked at good.

Milwaukee is gonna be the best bet, they are solid. If you want the best, matco is as stout as they come, snap on is a lil better quality and Mac is somewhere in between.

What he said. Until you figure out Matco you are gonna snap and strip everything with them. They don't play

We have a 3/4 drive DeWalt that we put large tractor wheels on with. Used it to put wheels on the case 2388 combine. It has a ton if torque.

I would just stick with the same brand all your cordless tools are. batteries are the biggest expense.
