What say y’all on a cordless impact wrench? Mainly for lug nuts and such. Pros and cons and product selection selection.

You need a torque wrench to properly install lug nuts.

I like mine. I would suggest getting whatever brand that you have now.

Just for home / DIY use , I'd go with whatever cordless brand you have now . I prefer DeWalt , but have Ryobi tools at home so I bought the best Ryobi and it woks great for occasional "shade tree" usage.

Have Had a DeWalt for several years and it’s never failed to break lugs or anything else
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

They’re all great. All mine are desalts and use them pretty regularly.
Picking a brand is kinda like a ford, Chevy or dodge conversation.

I use Milwaukee. Pros: Faster work flow. Easier than manual pulling for us older guys with injuries. Removes many stuck nuts that manual pulling wouldn't do. Cons: Expensive to buy You will add other impacts and battery wrenches after the first purchase, though that is a pro as well. Can over tighten and shear off bolts if not careful. Most Milwaukee wrenches have settings to limit the amount of torque for and different levels per tool. Takes more space to store/carry than a set of wrenches and socket sets. If the battery goes dead, and you don't have another charged, or wrenches, your out of the game for a while. This requires 400 ft/pds of torque on the bolts for the teeth. I use a 3/4" Milwaukee M18 impact For the most part, it was fairly correct when checking with the big torque wrench ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/hzKWumml.jpg) I bought a battery operated 3/8" M12 ratchet and right angle impact wrench to do this job and still saved money buying the tools, rather than paying a shop do the job.. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/LuVuqYul.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/IqM6YMDl.jpg) You will find yourself using them more and more due to saving time. Makita.
I've got a Dewalt. I really like Makita's tools.

I own Milwaukee battery and Snap On air impacts. I used a Ryobi at the church garage and was impressed for the price. Sadly Ryobi Days (buy battery pack get a free tool) just ended.
