Thanks for a great childhood and spending a tremendous amount of time with me.shooting guns, playing whiffle ball , teaching me to hunt and fish.on and on
We had a canoe growing up and hunted public land.my father is very simple minded man and didn't believe in spending money to hunt and fish .he loves loading ammo and shooting guns for sure.we spent a lot of Sunday's off roading in 78 Scottsdale with buckshot mudders and glass packs.loud !
Dad was a eagle scout and my grandfather was a scout master Troup leader whatever you call it. Been into survivorlist skills along time.

Dad fabricated train cart wheels forging 70lb plates in ovens by hands and tongues, then moved to painting train carts and putting brakes on them, was a brick mason and framed houses when I was real young, then started his own small contractor business.hes been doing that for 30+ years and never put a add in newspaper or anything similar.he's had more work than he can stand to do by word of mouth and being respectful, affordable and doing good quality .

He's retired and just got over a 1 1/2 year stint with cancer treatment and I bet you today he was on top of a roof working and he never quit working through out his treatment .his quality of work has kept him busy many years later even now that he don't want to work his customers won't leave him alone.lol

I tried real hard to raise my son the same way.lots of good stories raising my son

Really looking forward to spending day with my dad Sunday.much better person than ill ever be! No doubt
Hope y'all can spend the day with y'all's as well

Awesome 3%. Hope y'all have a Great day.

I lost mine 13 years ago, and still miss and think about him most every day.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Good post fellows. All of us with dads still around need to appreciate our father’s story while they are still here. And strive to make our own with our own children

Your dad sounds like a good one 3%!

This will be the first one without my dad. We lost him very unexpectedly this past February.

It gets said a lot, but please spend all the time you can with them while you still have a chance.

Luckily still have mind at 86, plays golf twice a week. Unfortunately I’m on call this week and can’t go see him.
My youngest daughter came home today from college and we will probably go eat tomorrow

Would like to here some of y'all's upbringings and father son childhood stories.also
Good or bad we all ain't perfect and it moulded us into what we are.
All I've tried to do is leave my son something better than I had.he'll be real happy one day with the toys I leave him.hopefully a paid for home and some nice rifles .a little better than I had it but I understand it ain't easy

I've worked 12-13 hr work days since I've been married to make things work for our family. been at work to 11:00pm on Christmas Eve one year then put a trampoline together in the rain at midnight .

Really get to thinking about these things our parents do for us once you have your own kids.

Dad’s been gone since 2005 and miss him every single day. We had our moments because we were so much alike and me trying to be my own man. Love and respect was always there. Older guys will know what I’m talking about when when I say “I look at my hands and I see my dads hands”. RIP Daddy. Happy Father’s Day.

Been talking to him about all my new reloading dies and tools I've upgraded to.he knows what I'm talking about but hasn't used any of it
He doesn't say much but just gives me a little smile . enough said

3% you need to spend as much time with him as possible because he might just wind up like my dad. Eating breakfast with him and his cronies then the next day he’s gone.

My dad beat me until I couldn’t sit down in 5th grade for my first B. Two years later he threatened to kill me if I didn’t hang up with the police while he was choking my mom. As I started getting older and braver he broke my finger and started after my younger brother. He finally realized he couldn’t do anything with me when I joined the army. He never apologized, just said he had his reasons. I’m not looking for any pity, all it did was teach me not to rely on anyone or anything. It also taught me how not to treat my son. Happy Father’s Day to all the good ones.

FreeState… I apologize for your dad and thank you for your service. He’s lucky he did not catch a bullet for his sins. At least you did not follow in his footsteps as an abuser. Thumbs up to you. Everyone has to rely on someone for support at sometime. I don’t care how tough you are.
